Frequently Asked Questions

What is the fastest way to level up bees?

Buying Treats with Honey is the fastest and most consistent method. While you can farm treats from mobs and leaves, the sheer volume needed for high levels (millions) makes purchasing them the only viable option for endgame leveling.

Does Puppy Bee help with leveling?

Yes! A Gifted Puppy Bee provides a +20% Bond from Treats bonus. This effectively reduces the cost of leveling your entire hive by 20%. If you are pushing for a Level 16+ hive, Gifted Puppy Bee is mandatory.

Should I feed bees their favorite treats?

Feeding a bee its favorite treat gives 2x the bond (20 instead of 10). However, fruits like Blueberries and Strawberries are also crafting ingredients for extracts. Generally, only feed favorite treats if you have a massive surplus or are trying to turn the bee Gifted.

What level should I aim for?

Level 12 is a good mid-game goal for the Vicious Bee to clear the Coconut Crab efficiently. Level 15 is the standard 'Endgame' entry point. Level 20 is for leaderboards and bragging rights, costing quadrillions of honey.

How many treats per level in BSS?

Each level requires a different amount of bond. For example, Level 1→2 needs 100 bond (10 treats), Level 9→10 needs 50,000 bond (5,000 treats), and Level 19→20 needs 2.5 billion bond (250 million treats). Use our bond chart above for the full Level 1-24 breakdown.

How much bond do treats give in Bee Swarm Simulator?

A standard treat gives 10 bond. Favorite treats give 20 bond (2x). With a Gifted Puppy Bee (+20% Bond from Treats), each treat gives 12 bond instead of 10, effectively saving 17% on honey costs.

How many treats for level 10 bee?

To reach Level 10 from Level 1, a bee needs 100,000 total bond, which equals 10,000 standard treats (100M honey at 10k per treat). Level 10→11 alone requires 25,000 treats (250M honey).

The Ultimate Guide to Bee Leveling in BSS

Leveling up your bees is the primary way to increase their stats in **Bee Swarm Simulator**. Higher level bees gather more pollen, convert more honey, and most importantly, can hit higher level enemies. The **Coconut Crab** (Level 12) and **Snowbear** require high-level bees to defeat efficiently. However, the cost of leveling scales exponentially. Getting a bee from Level 1 to 10 is cheap, but getting from 19 to 20 costs Billions of Bond. This calculator helps you plan your honey spending to ensure you don't go broke.

How Bond Works

Every bee starts at Level 1. To level up, they need **Bond**. Bond is gained primarily by feeding bees **Treats**. One standard Treat gives 10 Bond. If you feed a bee its **Favorite Treat** (e.g., Blueberries for Bucko Bee), it gains 20 Bond. Other treats like **Bitterberries** and **Neonberries** give significantly more bond but are rarer. The most common method is spam-buying standard Treats from the Treat Dispenser next to Mother Bear.

The Exponential Cost of Leveling

The jump in requirements is steep. Level 10 requires 100,000 Bond total. Level 15 requires over 5 Million Bond. Level 20 requires **10 Billion Bond**. At 10 Bond per treat, that's 1 Billion Treats, which costs **10 Trillion Honey** for just one level on one bee! This is why Economy and Honey Per Hour stats are so important for endgame players.

The Importance of Puppy Bee

For late-game leveling, the **Puppy Bee** is essential. Its 'Fetch' ability grants bond, but its true power comes from its **Gifted Hive Bonus**: +20% Bond from Treats. This means every treat gives 12 Bond instead of 10. This is effectively a **17% discount** on honey costs. When you are spending Trillions of honey, saving 17% equates to hundreds of billions of honey saved. The **Reindeer Antlers** beequip further enhances this.

Leveling Strategy Guide

1. **Early Game**: Get your hive to Level 8-9 naturally. Use Mother Bear's Gingerbread Bears only on your Vicious Bee. 2. **Mid Game (Coconut Crab)**: Push your **Vicious Bee** to Level 12 as fast as possible. This allows you to defeat the Coconut Crab without missing hits. 3. **Late Game**: Push your whole hive to Level 14-15. This usually happens after you get the SSA (Supreme Star Amulet). 4. **End Game**: Level 18+. This is a pure honey dump. Only level up when you have bought all gear (Gummy Boots, Tide Popper/Dark Scythe).
